One day, or day one? This motto is what started this whole journey for me. On September 20th 2018 I weighed in at 425 pounds, 14 months later and 151 pounds down my current weight is 274 pounds.
I knew I always wanted to lose weight but never had the determination until reality hit me. In January of 2018 I fell and tore my miniscus. Several months off work I got the all clear to return. 2 weeks into returning to work I tripped and fractured my ankle. After being off work for another 2 months I fell into a bad depression. I was the heaviest I had ever been, just quit smoking and struggling. There was no way these 2 injuries were a coincidence so I decided to take this bad situation and make it a positive. This was the reality check I needed.
On September 14th 2018, I got my Goodlife membership back and 6 days later was seeing a trainer. The first weigh in broke my heart, I couldn't believe I let myself get that heavy and worst of all I realized in 2 years at my job I had gained 60 pounds.
The last 14 months hasn't just changed me physically but mentally as well. I'm starting to love myself again. I'm becoming the true me and not a plus size girl who hides behind her weight. I never realized how much my weight held me back and I'm excited to explore this new me!
I'm happy, I'm healthy, I'm free. Thank you Cam Makarchuk and GoodLife Fitness.
