I am 47 and have had to deal with some serious health issues. I broke my spine at L4 and had major surgery to put it back together again. It took years of recovery just to be able to do regular daily activity, let alone any sports. During this time the weight just kept piling on and I didn't have the energy to do anything about it. I am 5 feet tall and was 190 lbs at my heaviest weight. With my family having many generations of diabetes, stroke, heart issues and my father having diabetes and being in the end stages of Alzheimer's, I knew that I could be in the same situation if I did not change my lifestyle. I didn't want to be one of those people that had to take a pill to get through that next episode of what was ailing them. I have lost over 70lbs already and I look and feel at least 10 years younger. With my new found body and so much energy I definitely want to continue a healthy and fit lifestyle. I decided to pay it forward and inspire others to achieve their goals by becoming a personal trainer myself. I want to continue being an inspiration to others who have seen me transform and let them know that they too can achieve their goals one day at a time and never give up.
