Winter 2014: 198 Pounds, high cholesterol, low self-esteem and not loving myself. Before starting my fitness journey, I was busy raising two amazing girls, holding down a full time job, maintaining a household and not taking care of myself. While taking care of everything else, things seemed to get out of control with my health. I realized when I was almost 200 pounds something had to change. Enter Goodlife. In 2016 I had a setback when I tore my Achilles tendon. This didn’t stop me. I still managed to go and lift weights, working my upper body (crutches and all). I remember one day a young man held the door open for me on my way out. He said “I guess you won’t be going here for a while” I happily said “I just finished my personal training and will be back next week.” What an amazing feeling! My confidence in the gym and in my health was at an all-time high. Exercise is now my stress reliever, not food. Since I began at Goodlife in 2014, I have lost 70 pounds, and have begun to love myself again. I love being able to shop for clothes in any store, walk past a mirror and think WOW, and have my husband and family proud of me. The most important thing for me is for my daughters to look up to me as a good role model, and know that they can be in control of their own health too. I truly thank Goodlife and my trainers as they helped me start and continue on my fitness and health journey. Fall 2017: 128 Pounds, normal cholesterol, high self-esteem and loving life!
